Job Summary:
The InfoSec Systems Engineer will work with various Priveon customers to implement server and desktop security solutions primarily focused on Application Whitelisting (Bit9) and management product suites (BigFix).  The individual will consult with Priveon customers while working as part of a delivery team and/or individually as the delivery lead. The individual will provide Priveon customers with technical and best practice guidance, hands-on configuration, deployment support, product training, and project management support.

This role will need to be filled by an individual who is confident in their ability to consult at all levels of the customers organization from the executive team down to the technical staff. It is critical that this individual not only be capable of managing and executing a project but also ensure successful hands-on implementation while also continuing to develop the customer relationship for future potential projects. This individual must be capable of integrating into the customer environments where they are engaged as well as be part of the Priveon cross-functional team. A strong desire for success and a positive demeanor is essential to this job. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the service-oriented nature of this position, knowledge of security technologies, malware, application control, patching and remediation methodologies, associated best practices, and proficiency in Windows and IT technologies.

Essential duties & responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the currently assigned projects and tasks at the highest quality level while also continuing to consult with the customer and working with Priveon staff to assist in future sales conversations and corporate strategy planning. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.

Essential responsibilities include:

  • Work as a Systems Engineer to fully deploy software at various customers ranging from the Fortune 50 through smaller regional customers
  • Firm understanding of endpoint security challenges and application of preventative and protective security technologies such as patch maintenance, software deployment strategies, and application control methodologies.
  • Collect technical requirements from customer and configure software to work within the capabilities of the application for those requirements. Review the configuration decisions that are available to customer and provide expertise and guidance on best practices.
  • Provide in-depth onsite and remote technical guidance to new and existing customers to ensure a successful deployment
  • Perform project management functions for customer engagements, including, but not limited to, project scheduling, project tracking and status/completion reporting
  • Build and maintain customer relationships
  • Work efficiently with customer support team to solve customer issues
  • Lead internal and customer facing meetings both via telephone and/or in-person

Experience:

  • Experience with various Windows operating systems, endpoint security and application policies and terminology
  • Knowledge of enterprise IT infrastructures, virtualization, configuration, and management
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows configuration and management including Active Directory
  • Must have a minimum of 3 years Windows Server Administration experience as a leader in their organization
  • Must have a minimum of 3 years design, build, implementation and support experience with Microsoft server and application technologies including DNS, DHCP, WINS, Systems Management Tools (BigFix, SMS, etc), Windows Server 2000/2003/2008 and Active Directory.
  • Must have proven experience in installing, configuring, monitoring, and troubleshooting server hardware and related data center equipment including virtualized environments.
  • Deep knowledge of managing mid to large enterprise windows deployments including Image creation and deployment, GPO controls, Application Control, as well as security configuration and user rights management.
  • Must be proficient in Internet protocols and standards such as LDAP, TCP/IP, FTP, DHCP, WINS, DNS and related management tools.
  • Strong aptitude and technical knowledge of Windows operating systems and related services (AD, IIS, file services, terminal services, etc.).
  • Knowledgeable in monitoring solutions and patch management tools, such as Bigfix, SMS and/or Altiris.
  • Knowledge of IT security technologies and best practices
  • Experience with endpoint security product suites such as Application Whitelisting and HIPS (Bit9 Parity, BigFix, and/or Cisco CSA a plus)
  • Proven ability to work on a technical services team, provide technical leadership, and evangelize early-stage technology
  • Experience delivering a professional services/consulting product
  • Ability to create, manage, and maintain project plans
  • Ability to translate customer needs into technical solutions and recommendations
  • Superb trouble-shooting skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer relationship skills and ability to thrive in a virtual team-based environment.
  • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities and conditions.
  • Ability to handle/manage multiple simultaneous engagements
  • Solid technical documentation, problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Attention to detail - follows and creates detailed procedures and existing standards.
